- If you have a brave dog that loves to dress up the Main Street Arena will be hosting Doggie Howl-o-Ween with trick or treating and a costume parade for your much-loved pet. The event will begin at 5 pm. Reduced fare skating will also be available for pet owners and friends.
- Kids 2-8 years old will enjoy the Boo Bash held at Virginia Discovery Museum. This fun event will take place on October 30, starting at 6 pm. There will be crafts, activities, games and prizes as well as a visit from the mad scientist and some boo bowling fun.
- If you love a good brew, Devils Backbone Brewery will be holding a fun Halloween Party on Saturday night. You can enjoy one of their spooky brews while you enjoy the sounds of Mississippi Leghound. A free pint will be given to everyone that turns up in costume. The fun starts at 7 pm.
- The Rocky Horror Picture Show will be showing on the big screen this weekend at The Paramount Theater. Tickets will be $10 or $15 if you are looking for a fun prop bag. A costume party will take place at 9.15 pm and the movie will start around 9.45 pm, doors open at 9 pm.
