Overview
This truly historic home was built in 1927 by Malcolm L. MacLeod who was a UVA student, and later became an instructor in the English department. His good friend, Edward Stettinius, Secretary of State in 1944, who attended UVA until 1924, was a frequent visitor and houseguest. Prof. MacLeod’s English Tudor-style home features a magnificent living room with a 26’ cathedral ceiling, exposed beams and Shakespearean balcony, stone walls over 20” thick, 3 full baths, huge kitchen, and full basement with washer and dryer. The current owners have lovingly restored this grand home to its original splendor! A ‘must see.’
