Crew Leader full time position; reports directly to Department Manager.
Essential Job Functions for this position include:
1. Oversee assigned crew and ensure assigned work gets completed in a workmanlike manner with good customer service and professionalism.
2. Maintain all exterior plant material through mowing, mulching, pruning, spraying, edging, blowing and weeding.
3. Maintain flowerbeds - water/weed.
4. Maintain trash-free property.
5. Maintain tools and equipment.
6. Use of privately owned vehicle and requirements of.
7. Perform work area clean-up and safety-related duties.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
This is a full-time position, must be willing to work weekends. Start immediately. Pay and benefits are commensurate with experience.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Must have a working knowledge of building, landscape, and grounds maintenance. Knowledge of grounds property management acquired by some experience in the field of property management or similar work. Ability to work independently and willingness to learn. Must have good communication abilities.
Commercial Chemical Applicators License is a plus.

Project Superintendent - FCE - Charlottesville, VA - Construction - Full-Time
OurOOur Project Superintendent is a professional who works in a supervisory position within the heavy/highway construction industry. They work on-site as the project is built, often working out of a project field office to manage a project's day-to-day operations.
Essential Job Functions for this position include:
1. The field superintendent manages and directs field staff and subcontractors to complete a project in accordance with company policy, contract specifications and construction plans. This leader carries out our company mission - Quality First, Production Second and Safety Always.
2. Complete the project on-time and on-budget.
3. The field superintendent holds the primary responsibility for maintaining the safety of the site and resolving disputes between parties.
4. Reports to the Area superintendent and works closely with Project Managers.
5. Lead a skilled and unskilled work force, daily interaction with construction professionals and project owners.
6. Working knowledge for operating heavy equipment.
7. Understands and implements contract requirements.
8. Manages complex schedules and maintains the drive to be a dedicated intense worker.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
People interested in a career as a field superintendent should be prepared to work outside in a wide variety of weather conditions. Field superintendents often work under very tight deadlines and must be flexible enough to handle the many surprises that crop up on a construction site.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education: Field superintendent may or may not have a formal education. Traditionally, they worked their way up through various construction trades to achieve this type of supervisory role. Today, we seek superintendents who hold degrees in engineering, construction management, or a related field. However a talented individual who has received their education through the “College of Hard Knocks”, are intelligent, computer literate and self-motivated, without a degree, can succeed.
Skills: This key employee must be prepared to work with a wide range of people, from laborers to professionals and project owners. It is imperative for field superintendents to possess strong language skills to communicate with a diverse staff.
